Ms. Schmaltz
Dear Parents,
I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a really great weekend. We had a great weather for our Terry Fox Run today and the children enjoyed it very much. Thank you all for your donations.
It's been a busy week in our classroom this week.
LA: We have been focusing on paragraph writing by writing and focusing on our values
Math: We have continued with patterning and algebra but began looking at the relationship with basic multiplication and division
Social: Island Mapping Project with a focus on scale, and we will be looking at longitude and latitude next week
Science: temperature and building our understanding of hot air and cold air
PE: Low Organized Games
Reminders for next week:
Bring books for Monday (Book Exchange)
Bring Gymstrip
LA: Good Copy of Value Paragraph due
French: Test Wednesday
We continue to focus on our class value of 'Kindness'. Starting our year together using language and actions that relate to kindness is going to be the foundation to our year together. I encourage the children to be aware of the tone they use when they speak as well as the words they use. Using manners when asking for things is also encouraged. It's been really nice as well as we also take some time out of our day to show appreciation for the people in our community who have gone out of their way to demonstrate kindness to us all.
It continues to be a privilege working with your children as we come together as a community!
Enjoy your weekend!
Kind Regards,
B. Schmaltz
