Previous Student Testimonials of the Hockey Exploratory

Throughout my time in Middle School, my most fond and memorable moments came from the hockey program. This program was great for hockey players of every caliber, and allowed for all students to develop their skills through the tremendous instruction from Mr. Carter. For us students, knowing that we had at least a few hours of the day where we could have fun playing the game we love made coming to school much more enjoyable. In High School, I also participated in a hockey program, but it did not compare to Mr. Carter’s program on any level. He exceeds any expectations that you would have for a coach, he brings a wealth of knowledge to the game that greatly benefits those that he teaches, and makes it fun for everyone involved.

My name is Codie Cross and I am currently a member of the Women’s National Development Team with Team Canada. While attending Muriel Clayton I participated in the school hockey program run by Mr. Carter. Being a part of this program not only gave me extra time to work on necessary hockey skills, but it was also a lot of fun and something I looked forward to everyday. Any chance I got to be on the ice more often, was an opportunity for me to develop and also helped me gain confidence in myself as a player. Having this hockey program at school was very important to me, and was a stepping stone that helped me get to where I am now.
