Principal's Message

Hello CW Perry Families,

I’m very excited to be returning to Airdrie and taking on the role of principal here at CW Perry. This is my ninth year as a school-based administrator and fifth as principal.

Since opening its doors, CW Perry has had a reputation as a school built on a foundation of inclusion, flexible learning environments, and working collaboratively to create a caring environment where students are challenged to learn and grow. We are a passionate staff who are forward-thinking in our instructional design and genuinely care about the success and well-being of all students.

There’s a renewed excitement as we are once again able to connect in person, plan field trips, sports, and return to many of the activities that we haven’t been able to over the last two years. For me, this year’s start up presents a unique opportunity to reflect on the lessons we’ve learned, take some of the positives, add those to what we’ve always done well, and move forward towards a better ‘new’ normal.

As we work together to serve your children, you’ll find that I truly value parent involvement and input. Teaching and learning have never been more complex, and the parent voice is key to helping us know your children and how to best meet their needs.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the school or me directly. Once again, I’m looking forward to meeting you, your children, and working together on a great year.

All the best,

Jim Reilly, Principal, CW Perry Middle School
