Our School

About Us

C.W. Perry is located in the Sagewood community of Airdrie, Alberta.  The school is named after the late C.W. Perry, an early homesteader in the Balzac area in the early 1900's, who also served as one of Airdrie's first councilors and later as Reeve of Rocky View County.

C.W. Perry is a P3 School (Public-Private Partnership School) which opened its doors to over 535 students in 2014. The current school population is 537 students.

The school has project areas with access to wood-working, art, food preparation and computer design resources.

What is a Public-Private Partnership?

A public-private partnership (P3) can be defined as an infrastructure project in which a private contractor:

  • provides some or all of the financing for the project;
  • designs and builds the project, often providing operations and maintenance for the project, and often backed by an “extended warranty”; and
  • receives payments from the government over an extended period of time, subject to deductions for failing to meet contractually defined performance standards.

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
